From the very first meeting with Mark, I knew I found the right realtor to sell my home. Mark's ability to think outside the box and his impeccable communication skills set him apart from anyone I’ve worked with prior. What truly impressed me was his dedication to taking care of every aspect of our home-selling experience during such a stressful period in our lives. At a time when interest rates were through the roof, Mark's strategic approach resulted in several offers above asking and a final selling price that was $65k over. His genuine passion and kindness also made the process smooth and enjoyable, and I found him to be one of the nicest, most sincere people I've ever met. Looking back on the experience, I wouldn't change a thing. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mark and his team to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in San Diego. I'm not just satisfied with his services; I'm happy to call him my realtor.

Mark Magstadt sold my home over asking price after being on the market for less than 3 hours. Nobody can beat that! Give Mark an opportunity to list your home and you'll understand why he is so successful selling homes. 5 stars all the way. Mark is hands down the best in La Jolla, Pacific Beach and Mission Beach areas.

After a thorough in-person vetting of numerous real estate agents, we partnered with Mark for the purchase of our home in La Jolla. We could not possibly articulate our appreciation for all of the little things he did that Make us confident in recommending him to all of our friends and family. Nor could we describe them all, as they were numerous, above, and beyond. A few notable reasons follow. First, there was the curb appeal that drew us to Mark in the first place and turned out to have staying power. He is with what we understand to be the top brokers in La Jolla so that there is an exceptional team behind him ready to support us should it become necessary at any time for any reason. He has worked as an agent in La Jolla for well over a decade, suggesting that he has a depth of knowledge and provides the kind of customer service and quality counsel necessary to thrive for an extended period of time in a referral-based industry. And Mark had a contagious enthusiasm for the real estate industry, La Jolla, and every detail about our search for the house we wanted to call home. Second, despite the fact that we already lived in La Jolla and know the neighborhoods, Mark brought a depth of knowledge that far surpassed our own. He gave us the kind of insight that I never considered possible when shopping for a home. Third, although we know Mark and his team have many clients and are often the top producing brokers in La Jolla, from our perspective, we were Mark’s only clients. He answered our calls, returned our texts, responded to emails, and rushed to show us houses hitting the market as though we, our family, and our search was all that mattered to him. Fourth, when significant issues arose in our deal, when I was losing my cool, and when I was ready to hand over more money to get the deal done, Mark stepped in with his experienced, cool, and thoughtful approach to solving problems under time pressure. In our case, he spent hours on the phone negotiating my loan and working with the sellers two days before closing fixing other peoples’ mistakes. We would have closed either way and he would have received his commission either way, but his work saved me money. Fourth, pricing. We missed several opportunities because we did not initially trust his price evaluations over our own. He was repeatedly spot-on in evaluating the ultimate sale price of a home. After missing a few and seeing them go for what he advised, we trusted him and got our dream home at a very fair price. That is experience and intelligence at work. Finally, Mark is a man who genuinely likes people and had a meaningful relationship with us. I think that is how he operates with all of his clients and I know that is how he operates with other real estate agents in La Jolla and San Diego. That means that he often knew the agent on the other side of a possible deal, which, in our case, turned out to have value for all involved. As two lawyers buying an expensive home in La Jolla, we expected a great deal from Mark. Without us having to demand it, he delivered. And then some. We cannot recommend him enough.

It was a pleasure working with Mark Magstadt and the Gellens Team! Mark listed and sold our family home in Point Loma and found us a new home in La Jolla to purchase in record time.

Mark was great to work with... he made the process incredibly smooth with super quick response times on all of our needs. He goes above and beyond which is highly appreciated compared to our other agent experiences. Would highly highly recommend!
