I really enjoyed working with Derek Peterson at Realty Austin. He was always available and made sure I was comfortable with every step in the process. He was instrumental in helping me put together a competitive offer that ultimately got us an accepted contract.  I couldn't be happier with my buying experience thanks to Derek's dedication to helping me find the perfect house! I highly recommend using Derek as your realtor if you're looking to buy or sell in the Austin market.

I cannot thank Derek enough for the time and care he took in ensuring my purchase was completed properly. I first reached out to Derek to talk about renting vs. buying on 12/31/2019. I was hesitant to even consider buying given my past experience, less than a year ago, which was not ideal. Derek referred me to some of his resources so that I could better inform myself of my options. I knew finding the right place could be tricky given my modest budget, however as it turns out, I was able to buy in the area I wanted! We looked at 2 properties the following Saturday and we had an offer submitted and accepted by Monday! As a we proceeded through the buying process, Derek was extremely available and was able to meet me at the property whenever I needed. Whenever I had questions about the process or the property, he did not hesitate to pick up the phone and walk me through the answer OR connect me with the right people to get me the answers I needed. Going into this, I was terrified/overwhelmed of the buying process and have heard horror stories from friends using other agents, I could not believe how easy Derek and his team made sure every step of this for me. No ball was dropped ever in the process. On top of that, I felt extremely cared for despite that modest budget which really meant a lot personally. Overall, I felt well informed and confident with my decision and agreement to purchase my home. I cannot wait to recommend more people to Derek!

We recently closed on our first home with Derek and it was a very easy and wonderful experience. Before we met Derek, we were locked into a contract with a realtor that did not help us to the level of care and attention we needed as first time home buyers. We almost bought a home with a shot foundation! We contacted Derek when we found out we were in a sticky situation and he gave us his professional opinion and knowledge without trying to step on toes or act unethically. With that experience, we knew we had to move over to Derek. He made us feel like he cared about our experience and he also made us feel like our purchase was a big deal. He really gained our trust by explaining everything to us step by step. With the home we eventually purchased, Derek informed us of the listing the day it came on the market AND set us up with a walk through day of. In a market like Austin, you have to have a proactive realtor like Derek. I highly recommend Derek as your agent.

Hi I've worked twice with Derek in the house buying process in Austin, he's great in all aspects but I particularly appreciate his intelligence, he was very responsive to my requirements, both when I was buying a house for myself and when I was buying one as an investment property.

Derek Peterson was a dream to work with! Being new to Austin, I was really nervous about the process and immediately knew I was in good hands. He was extremely responsive, willing to go the extra mile, was attentive to our needs in finding a rental, fun to work with, knew exactly what to do in each situation and negotiated everything perfectly. We ended up with our ideal home, location, and price! When it comes time to buy - I will definitely call on him.
