We meet David and Cathy at their office in Los Altos. They were friendly and no pressure. They asked us where we were looking (Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Milpitas), budget, must haves in a home, etc. They gave us a book that covers the basics of purchasing a home and includes a timeline for closing. They connected us to the Compass website to view home listings that fit our descriptions. They created a group text chat, so we can ask them questions at anytime. The next day, we were already viewing homes. Every single weekend for about a month, David and Cathy would show us homes. They pointed out things that we didn't notice, and helped us avoid homes that look good in the listings but had big and little problems. Some things they pointed out were cracks in foundation, uneven flooring, and David's astute nose detected faint cooking odors that's hard to get rid of. Cathy would go over disclosures and inspections reports almost page by page, explaining what's normal and what's not. When we finally found a home that we were ready to make a offer, David and Cathy worked quickly and aggressively to help us win the bid despite there being several other offers. They were there every step of the way. When signing our closing documents, Cathy was present to answer any questions. Even the notary commented that many agents are not there during signing. As first time homebuyers, we were clueless about home ownership, but they made us feel at ease. Thank you for helping us find our first home!

David and Cathy helped us sell a townhome in Mountain View and purchase a single-family home in Cherry Chase neighborhood of Sunnyvale. The overall process took some time but we were very happy to work with them. We highly recommend David and his team to anyone. They were pleasant to work with. Responsive, honest, and caring. Selling our townhome was not going to be easy because there were several neighbors on the market the same week. However David somehow managed to get offers right away and we sold our townhome at a decent price. My neighbors had to wait for months to sell their homes. I have no idea how he did it! After selling our previous home and when we were searching for a new home, David and his team were always responsive and gave us their honest and valuable opinions on the houses. David was never pushy and tried to focus on what we were looking for in the new home, with patience. He was not hesitant to say when the houses weren’t going to meet our needs. When we had any questions, David was very knowledgeable to provide answers, and proactively reached out to other realtors, contractors, and even city departments to provide us with better and more accurate information. We learned a lot while working with him. We had the impression that David and Cathy were genuinely caring, and they went way beyond what we expected from them. They even helped us arrange home repairs and improvements after the new home purchase! When it is time for the next move, we are definitely going to contact David and Cathy again.

I worked with David Kim for over 7 months to find a home in Los Altos. It wasn’t easy — there were very few listings, and I was looking for something pretty specific in terms of size, condition, and layout. Honestly, I was starting to feel like maybe it just wasn’t out there. But David never gave up. He kept looking, kept sending me homes that were close to what I wanted, and never pressured me to settle. He was patient, positive, and always had my best interest in mind. And finally, after all those months, we found the house. Even after the deal was done, David stayed involved — helping with repairs, cleaning, and even the move. That kind of support meant a lot.
