It has been a great experience working with Adam Barks to buy our new home on Johns Island. We started working with Adam remotely from California. Adam was thorough in getting to know us and what we were looking for in a home. He was also accurate in finding us candidate homes that met our criteria. I flew out to Charleston to meet with Adam. We toured the area and visited prospective homes. Adam was diligent in getting answers to our questions about the area and specific properties. Despite the extremely low inventory, Adam helped us to craft an offer that got us into contract within a week of the house going on the market. It was an overall smooth process from visiting the area to moving in. Adam also set us up with local resources, including movers and contractors to do some remodeling on the new house before fully moving in. Adam continues to help us in getting to know Charleston and feeling welcome and excited about moving to the area. We highly recommend Adam, a wonderful person to work with.

5 stars would be an understatement of my experience with Adam. Every homeowner in Maybank Village owes him a debt of gratitude. His videos, marketing our neighborhood, have been seen all over the United States. His unique style of videos and marketing have continued to drive up the value of our homes and he continues to set records for every floor plan in the neighborhood. He embodies everything that is good in Charleston and loves his work. This is one of the reasons that makes working with him such a pleasure. He walked me through the entire process and I felt like I was dealing with an old friend. I can go on and on about my experience with Adam but the bottom line is that he is the best there is on John’s Island. If you are buying or selling this is your relator. I have been in worked in sales my entire life and Adam is the real deal.

I was sold two properties in Charleston by Adam Barks. I paid Adam extra fees on top of the unusual sales commission to look at properties for me. I was unable to look at properties myself as I was overseas and all of my trust was placed in Adam. He sold me two houses in complete disrepair. I agreed to buy the houses under the condition that Adam would oversee and manage the remodels for an additional hourly pay. However shortly after the sales were finalized, he didn't want to have anything to do with the remodelling process. Subsequently, I had to try and manage it myself from overseas and was ripped off thousands of dollars by contractors because there was no one local to oversee things.  Those two houses are now falling to ruin and being vandalized and stripped and have been taken over by squatters. I placed my complete trust and faith in Adam believing he was going to look after my best interests. Instead he sold me two decrepit houses, he collected his commission checks and then he disappeared. Adam Barks has caused myself and my family immense and immeasurable stress and financial loss.

Adam provided us with top notch service. He made the selling experience a pretty stress free experience. He was highly professional and willing to answer any questions along the way. We would definitely recommend him to anyone trying to purchase or sell a home. We will definitely seek out his services in the future.

Adam has really been making waves on Johns Island, so we decided to list our property with him. It turned out to be a great decision as the home sold within days and set a new high sales price among comparable properties. Adam demonstrated the right knowledge and skills to get the most out of this hot housing market and we highly recommend him.
