Our experience with Tom Bashe and Localist Realty has far exceeded our expectations. We’ve used Tom and Localist Realty several times now and have been pleased every time to say the least. He and his team are more than just realtors; they are partners at a time when you’re making major changes in your life. Tom not only helped us find and sell our homes but also helped when we needed construction help, painters, etc. He has a team of people available at reasonable prices to make the move so much easier and uncomplicated; not to mention how simple his team made buying and financing our home! Tom always made us feel comfortable and confident with him in our corner, looking out for our needs; and he always happily explained anything to us that we weren’t sure of. Tom was absolutely awesome to work with for our recent purchase in The Colony. He and the team are very responsive and help us navigate the process seamlessly. I would most highly recommend Tom for any real estate transaction. His in depth knowledge of The Colony for us was invaluable and we were able to find the perfect home for us at this time of our lives.

Unprofessional and misleading. As the seller’s agent, Tom failed to follow through on agreed-upon repair obligations outlined in the contract. We are now 12 days post-close and still dealing with faulty and incomplete repairs that were clearly agreed upon in the contract. Throughout escrow, Tom was condescending and unprofessional, and failed to ensure the sellers met their repair obligations in full. Despite ongoing efforts by our own realtor to remedy the situation, there has been little accountability or meaningful resolution. Buyers and sellers beware.

We recently sold our home in July 2025 and purchased a new one in the Groves neighborhood of Temecula, CA. Looking back, I realize just how essential Tom was throughout the entire process. I admit, I was initially skeptical about the value of using a real estate agent and the associated fees, especially in this age of Zillow and online listings. However, I quickly learned that no amount of online research can replace the expertise, guidance, and support that Tom provided. Over the last weeks of the transaction, I found myself calling Tom anywhere from 8 to 12 times a day, and he answered every call or responded with a quick text, promising to follow up as soon as he could. He was present on-site at both properties more than necessary and continued to support us long after the sale, helping us navigate unexpected questions. Handling a multimillion-dollar transaction involves many moving parts, negotiating and managing emotional attachments when dealing with such a beloved property, what stays with the home, what goes with the owners, is not an easy task. Tom did an outstanding job of making this process smooth and manageable, putting us at ease every step of the way. We’re now planning to purchase a condo next year for our kids during college, and without hesitation, we will be reaching out to Tom again. If you value someone who answers the phone promptly and addresses concerns immediately—even during his daughter’s National Dance Competition (sorry, Mrs. Bashe!)—Tom at Localist Reality is your best choice. Highly recommend!

We cannot say enough great things about Tom! From start to finish, he went above and beyond in every way possible. He was professional, responsive, and truly had our best interests at heart. What stood out most was his trustworthiness and dedication, qualities that are rare to find. We honestly wouldn’t have gotten our house without his persistence and guidance.
