Having just moved to Seattle, John helped us find our new home. We worked with John over 6 months, navigating the ups and downs of the competitive Seattle housing market. John is incredibly patient. He'll learn about your wants and needs and then guide you on properties you should consider or avoid. He'll guide you away from homes that you might get emotional about, but won't fit your criteria. All the same, he'll remind you to think through your compromises and advice on what are meaningful ones to give up on. His knowledge of the Seattle area and housing options are incredible! John works with you at your pace. You're never rushed or pressured EVER. He'll happily take you to as many places as you need and also visit places on your behalf if you cannot make it. Rest assured, you'll have no regrets when you land a place you like with John!

As first-time homebuyers, we were apprehensive with a lot to learn about Seattle's housing market. John's deep knowledge of the greater Seattle area, combined with his ability to help us discern the benefits/tradeoffs of a given property and how it matched up against our priorities, put us at ease. He guided us with patience and was always available to answer questions about the homebuying process. When it came time to put in our first offer, he coached us on how to put our best foot forward - and we were successful. We highly recommend working with John!

John was a terrific partner throughout our first home buying experience in Seattle. He helped us understand the neighborhoods, schooling options, the types of homes to expect and the likelihood of finding our deal breakers (e.g., number of bedrooms and their layout in the house). John entertained ALL of our questions and empowered us to make a decision that was right for us while not being afraid to give his honest opinion. We didn't want an agent who would simply say "it's your decision." While it was in the end, we wanted someone to still weigh in with "if it were me..." He shared his experiences both as an agent and in his personal home buying and selling journey over the years - both were invaluable. Especially in an uncertain market, he guided us through a sound strategy and held our hands when we needed it. He was compassionate and professional, incredibly generous and understanding. The contacts he had for mortgage loans, painters, locksmiths, etc. made it a smooth process. We ended up beating two other offers while getting great value. John was in our corner throughout, and we'll be in his forever.

I recently worked with John to buy my first home in Seattle. As a first time home buyer, I had a lot of questions about the process. John was patient and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain each step and ensure that I felt comfortable with the decisions I was making. John identified relevant homes for me, was very responsive when coordinating tours and worked around my travel schedule throughout the process. His knowledge of Seattle was also helpful and he was never pushy. When we found the right home, John gave me great advice on how to approach the offer given the changes in the market and ensured it was submitted efficiently. He helped guide me through the negotiation process and helped facilitate a smooth closing – even helping me close more quickly than initially planned. Overall, I would highly recommend John to anyone looking to buy a home in Seattle. He made the stressful process of home buying as smooth as possible, and I’m very happy with the outcome.
