We engaged Jack Thyfault to sell a home (and property) for us that we owned in Chenango County. The home belonged to a deceased family member, and we live over a thousand miles away. We have few contacts in the area, and when we began looking for a realtor who was well-regarded, we went to our banker in Norwich for a recommendation, and Jack’s name was first on the list. Bottom line: he did a fantastic job, and I would certainly use him again. Specific points: • Responsive - both by phone and email • Accessible – we never had a hard time getting in touch with him • Valuation – he knows the local market well and provided us with an estimate of value in excess of what we had estimated • Pleasant manner – he is a nice guy and is easy to work with • Honest / trustworthy – in every interaction he was above board. We had zero doubts about giving Jack access to a home full of antiques and other valuables. • Creative – when we had a number of interested parties, Jack created a process that resulted in several offers coming in at the same time (he made a deadline), with two offers above the asking price. • Use of technology – Jack brought a drone out to the property, which is near a river, and took photos from the drone to show off the beauty of the property.
