I was very impressed with the support Tom provided with preparing our property for listing and the advice he provided during the actual sale of the property. The property was part of an estate and as executor and living out of state, performing, or supervising most of the work that was required to prepare the property for listing was difficult or impossible for me to do in person. Tom, our agent, was well connected with local services and extremely resourceful. He also offered excellent advice on what we needed to do to enhance the properties’ market value and curb appeal. I should also note that the time we were preparing the property for sale was a period when it was extremely difficult to obtain the needed services due to the tight market for such services. He is impressive and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is selling or buying a home in his area.

Thomas is a brilliant real estate sales agent. We recently dealt with him in dual agency for the purchase of our significant new home. He handled both sides of the transaction perfectly. He is articulate, kind, genuine and most pleasant. I would highly recommend him in all aspects of real estate needs…it was a pleasure working with Thomas Van Alstyne!

Tom went far beyond our expectations in helping us navigate the complicated sale of our lake cottage. He continually kept us informed of proceedings and was patient, understanding and considerate when a pipe burst just as we were going to contract, requiring us to do major repairs before the sale could be completed. His helpfulness in the cleaning-up process was invaluable, ultimately enabling a successful conclusion of the sale. Tom is an excellent real estate agent, but, more importantly, he is an extraordinary human being.

He made my selling experience easy and relaxing. Tom was very nice and helpful during our selling process. I made him through someone who was interested in buying the house but then backed out. I found him to be very personable and he had a knowledge of building and older homes. He was very informative and let me know what was going on all the time with the sale. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to buy a home or looking to sell their home!
