I've been doing business with Karen Hoff and Historic & Distinctive Homes since 2016, and have had consistently great tenants in multiple rental properties, immediate and expert assistance on all kinds of real estate-related issues and questions, and wonderful personal warmth and humor along with total professionalism in all dealings. Karen has long and in-depth knowledge and experience of the areas she covers, and I'd highly recommend her and her team to anyone renting, buying or selling property here.

Karen did an outstanding job being our agent. She turned a negative experience into a positive one. She knows her stuff very well & is very knowledgeable! She came in & advised what all needed to be done in order to get a quick sell, and once we did as she advised, she had a contract within 24 hours. I am very pleased with Karen’s work, her help, & truly am grateful for her expertise! I highly recommend her!!

My husband and I started working with Karen in January, and after multiple bids this spring, we closed on our home in August. Throughout the whole process Karen was absolutely wonderful. She listened to our needs, gave us advice, and was patient when we decided to take a break from house hunting. Her genuine kindness and outstanding expertise make her an invaluable realtor and a wonderful human being. Even after we closed, she continues to be there for us. Every time we have a question about house projects and various vendors/contractors, we reach out to her, and she immediately responds and guides us to the right people. When I started my house hunting journey I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. I made a list. You know, the list of 4000 different must have's and absolutely not's. I took that list to Karen Hoff, and we sat down to come up with a game plan. She listened to every detail, and she even remembered those details all throughout our journey together. She often brought them up in conversation. I soon came to realize (by myself) that I am a far pickier person than I ever imagined possible, and I really had no idea what I was doing or even wanted. I am in absolute awe of Karen's patience. She stuck by me through over 2 years of touring houses, offers falling through, being out bid, houses slipping through the cracks...all things terrible about the housing market these days. She was there when we had to put things on hold when the Army changed our plans for us. Never once did she seem annoyed by all the changes. Instead, she was incredibly reassuring. Karen is the kind of realtor that takes on a client that turns into a solid challenge and sees it through. I've heard stories from other clients, but after working with Karen, I've seen first hand the genuinely kind hearted person she is. She is dedicated. She listens. She is motivated. She cares. She is incredibly knowledgable when it comes to all things housing market. Karen sent me an email late one night informing me confidently that she had found my house, and she was right. She found us a house that met all of our requirements, exceeded our expectations, and came with several nice surprises. No one could've found a better pick for us, and honestly, there is no one out there (even coming from a family with several realtors) I'd rather work with. She is the best. She stood by me for 2 whole years of viewing houses. She had every opportunity to walk away, but she didn't. It's been 6 months since closing, and we are currently renovating our "forever home" using the outstanding advice she had to offer and continues to give. If you're looking for a realtor that cares about you and your family, Karen is the best there is. I trust her. She is truly one of a kind. I cannot thank her enough for all she's done for my family.

Karen was knowledgeable, supportive and caring. She listened to what we wanted and got to know us, so she could tell if we liked a place even before we said anything. She patiently supported our house hunt for two years until we found our forever home. We trust and cherish her opinions. We continually recommend her to others.
