Joelle was amazing to work with from the very beginning! This was our first time buying a home and we’re clueless about where to start! We weren’t the 20% down couple which made it tricky in this current housing market. The process was extremely overwhelming, especially with hight interest rates. Joelle was able to walk us through the entire process and was always available to answer my questions at any time of day. She made sure to send us any listings within our budget and explained all of the ins and outs of submitting an offer, working late into the night! She was able to get creative with our offers to help us be more competitive in the area that we were looking to move, including a pre commitment. She helped us find a great lawyer and lender for our home buying purchase! Joelle doesn’t make you feel like a client but more of a friend. We are so happy that we were able to find a home and it would not have been possible without Joelle working overtime to help us land a house within our budget and worked in a seller credit! If you are looking to buy a home, Joelle is the person that you want to work with!

Joelle is not your typical realtor. Joelle is the best realtor! Joelle takes the time to understand exactly what you are looking. She spends time talking thru the entire process. We spent about an hour on a video call where she explained the buying process and even strategies we could use when it came down to making an offer. We were first time homebuyers with very little knowledge, so this was super helpful. We were looking in both MA and NH and she explained and educated us on the differences of buying in both states. We were specifically looking for a house with an in law for my elderly parents. The first open house we went to, she gave us her honest perspective on the in law if she was buying for her parents. (too many stairs for elderly parents, etc) When any other realtor might’ve pushed us to make an offer. The second open house she actually found. I wasn’t super keen on the pictures but it was exactly what we were looking for. She helped us talk strategy to ensure our offer would be accepted and it was! We would not have ended up in our dream home if it wasn’t for her! Separately, Joelle’s slogan of #clientsnowfriends is accurate! During the entire process I felt Joelle was my friend and therapist! I could rely on her to talk thru anything and everything. She had suggestions and recommendations throughout the entire process. She is super responsive, professional, friendly and timely. Everyone needs a Joelle when buying or selling their home!

Joelle was incredible from the start of my home-buying process. I was immediately impressed with her knowledge and experience in the business and felt confident that she was "the one." I am a person who asks a LOT of questions and needs a LOT of detail, and Joelle handled me throughout the process with ease, meticulously sending me information so I had it all documented and checking in to make sure I understood the market conditions and how we could put together a competitive offer. After looking at several homes over a short time period, we found the perfect gem in Malden, complete with a yard, driveway and livable basement, move-in ready. Joelle helped navigate a strong offer and I'm so pleased to be moving in soon! The home market is tough right now, so you have to be OK with acting fast, and I'm so happy we did. I would recommend Joelle in a heartbeat to any homebuyers who need a true partner and expert in real estate. Though she is friendly and good-natured (always a bonus!), she is the realtor shark you need in your corner to get what you deserve!

Would certainly recommend Joelle. She's attuned to Compass's resources and otherwise was very quick and thorough with local recommendations for things we needed to prep our house to sell. She also has good intuition for staging, marketing, language for listing, and has connections with professionals who can offer more advice on that and other areas. We liked her strategy for listing price, but she was certainly open to working out what we were comfortable with on that really crucial step. She was also very well in touch and up to speed on processes without pushing things at any point, and was really amenable to what we were able to do and comfortable doing—never got the impression she would strong-arm us into anything. Overall, just very professional, responsive, has good instincts, and jibed with our personalities. Was a pleasure working with her.

Joelle just helped my wife and me find our first house together and we can't say enough good things about her! As first-time buyers, we were very intimidated by the process - especially trying to buy somewhere as competitive as the Boston area in the middle of an infamously inflationary market. Not to mention that we also had to relocate from almost a thousand miles away! We picked Joelle as our agent because we were confident from our initial Zoom with her that she was not only an expert at putting together competitive offers, but also very dedicated to her clients, building strong relationships that allowed her to focus on their needs and guide them through the process. Thankfully, this initial impression was spot on - if anything, we might have underestimated Joelle! Even though we only had 10 days in the area to find a house, it only took Joelle 3 days to find us an amazing home that completely matched our taste in one of our favourite towns and help us put in an offer before it even went on the market. Joelle also put together an incredibly competent and helpful team to get us through the lending and legal processes required to close, and has been a veritable trove of useful information about not just the buying process, but also home improvement ideas and costs, warning signs and red flags whe touring properties, tradespeople, and things to do in the local area (she has killer restaurant recommendations). If you are buying a house in the Boston area, you won't find a better agent than Joelle Smith!
