Our experience with Dot Dorso was excellent. She guided us through the process of selling our house last year from advertising through the open house process. Once we sold our house we began looking for another. We viewed many houses in the area we wanted but so many of them needed a lot of work. Dot suggested we look at an over 55 community. We weren't that interested but she encouraged us to just look. Well, we fell in love with the house. She knew what we were looking for and found the right one for us. In all matters she was professional, knowledgeable and always concerned about what we wanted. I have already recommended her to friends and will continue to do so.

Dot was my realtor for purchasing my first home. It was clear from the start that she was dedicated and was going to do whatever it took to get me into my dream home. She only gave me step by step instructions so that I was not overwhelmed and she did far more negotiating with my lender than any other realtor would have. Above and beyond my expectations!

Dot Dorso was the agent for the sale of my previous home and the purchase of my new home. She always goes above and beyond what you would expect. There was never a time when I called or texted her that she did not immediately respond. She sold my home in two weeks and found me a place to rent while I was searching for a new home. She guided me every step of the way and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an agent.

Dot is truly a one of a kind realtor, she takes excellent care of her clients and goes out of her way to make her clients happy! We recently purchased our home thanks to Dot's hard work and determination to help us find exactly what we were looking for in a home. I highly recommend Dot to anyone who wants a fulfilling experience in purchasing their next home or whatever they may be looking for.

“I would like to start by saying a good review goes a long way but a Bad review goes even further.” My wife and I have been working with Dot Dorso in Oakville CT which is a short sale. We started the process in June 2014 and since the beginning of this process the customer service provided by Dot has been nonexistent . We were referred to Dot through my father in law who she helped 2 years ago with the sale of his home. We figured we had nothing to worry about and that she would make the process as pleasant as possible. We were wrong. Time and time again my wife has asked Dot questions via text and it has taken her four times of her asking a question to get any response. I am in Sales myself and I can tell you that this poor customer service. I brought this to Dot’s attention during a walk through we had with her and her response and reason for not replying to my wife’s questions were due to her not having the answer. Out of common courtesy she could at least acknowledge that she was working on getting the answers to our question. Dot’s lack of customer service has made us feel that she can care less if this deal closes or not and unfortunately for us we are stuck with her no matter what. My wife reached out to Dot again the day before our closing, again.. with no response. Asking her if she was able to help us out from her commission with a $2,291 judgment lien that needs to be paid off at the closing for the loan to go through and close. Her response when she finally did respond was for my wife to speak with her attorney. Let me know if I am missing something but is it not the responsibility of the realtor to work with the buyers and sellers? Dot did put in $150.00 worth of oil in the empty tank to get the heating system checked for the appraisal. This was a process as well as she wanted us to fill the oil tank prior to us owning the home. As it stands now we have lost our ($6,000)in seller concessions to put toward closing , the washer and dryer ($1,600.) for the house are gone that were supposed to be included with the house, and a judgment lien($2,291.00) that we need to pay to get this deal to close totaling $9,891 and on top of it, the vinyl fence was taken down and totaling another $1,500 in material plus labor costs. We have asked for Dot to collaborate with the selling realtor to come up with a plan to at least help us with the judgment lien out of their commission to push this deal through again with no response or acknowledgement since Wednesday ? It would be nice to know that she cared and at least tried. When we did get a response on the day of the closing she stated she is sorry she advised us to walk away from the deal and that she can't work for nothing. I hate to complain but she gave us a Bad taste of Wiechert Realtor whom we will never use again. There is no way that I would be able to recommend or refer Dot Dorso to anyone that is in my network based off of how she handled this process.
