When you hire a realtor to sell your property you are expecting that person to be looking out for the best interest in their clients expectations and paying precise attention to every detail in the sale. This was not the case when we had Randy as our realtor. We received an offer in a timely manner but communication in negotiating the transaction was NOT comprehended on his end. We were trying to negotiate the buyer to pay the buyer commission. I was out of the country at the time and texted Randy to let him know I could not look at the offer and I wanted to know if the buyer was paying their 3% commission. He responded and said they are asking us to pay their 3.5% commission and we can walk that back. I took it that walk that back he was going to negotiate for them to pay their commission fee. I guess he was only going to try and walk back us paying 3% instead of 3 1/2. BIG DEAL. My husband was also on the text. He was in the country trying to renegotiate with Randy. He had a hard time getting responses from Randy on negotiating. My husband finally called me and said we got $xxx and buyer to pay 3%. That's what he understood from talking with Randy. The email we received from Randy said updated with counter offer, buyers broker commission 3%. So we thought that was proof he negotiated for them to pay the 3% cause that's what we were asking for. He was distracted at times being at soccer games. He did not listen to what we were asking for and never went over the paperwork we were signing for us to be totally clear. You hire a realtor so things are being done accurately. We would of been better off having a lawyer for the paperwork. We did not find any of this out till the day before closing when we saw the final numbers. When we let Randy know there was an error, it took him some time to get back to me to let me know which line on contract had us paying. We would NEVER use Randy or recommend Randy to anyone. Never even gave us an apology for the misinterpretation. Five Star needs to train Randy on how to go over the paperwork the client is signing so it is clear beyond a shadow of a doubt on what they are signing.

Randy is incredibly knowledgeable in all things real estate. He made my first time home buying experience easy and simple. Randy is proactive and found the house I bought before it even went on the market. His experience and knowledge was very helpful during the entire proccess.

We live in IL and were randomly assigned online to Michelyn when looking for a MI home. From our very first interaction with her, we knew we had a gem! She is smart, honest, kind, responsive, and generous with her time. Though based on Manistee, she was willing to drive miles (and hours) across MI to show us more than a dozen homes. She gained our complete trust to the point of us doing virtual walk throughs, knowing she would be completely transparent and had taken the time to listen and understand our hopes, non-negotiables, and budget. We put an offer on our now home without seeing it on person first because we trusted her so fully. And we are elated! You will NOT find a better agent with the knowledge and heart to help you find your dream home, too!

We were paired with Michelyn through Zillow and couldn't have hoped for anyone better to be our agent as we searched for a Michigan lake house! She is professional, knowledgeable, excelled at learning what we were looking for (and what we weren't), and went out of her way to get us in to see places both in person and virtually. She also helped us in finding a incredible house inspector and in navigating all of the intricacies of buying a house in Michigan. Through the entire process, she kept us positive when we got down and her personality and honesty always made it clear she was in our corner whenever we needed her. We feel incredibly lucky to have worked with Michelyn and are thrilled with our new home!

Randy’s help was very much appreciated. Very knowledgeable about the area and the specific unit. Would not hesitate to work with him again. Love the area and can’t wait to explore our new city and county.
