Mark is an awesome realtor and an awesome person! He went above and beyond and even assisted in guiding me in selling my house as an “for sale by owner”. He was always available and even helped me purchase my new home over his vacation. While he was a the beach he was calling the other realtor and guiding negotiations. If you are looking to buy or sell a home, Mark should be your choice!

For the 2nd time, we utilized Mark Ruby to sell our house and to buy a new one. Mark was with us every step of the way, offering wise advice, ideas, and recommendations. He puts his clients first, and goes to bat for them. We ran into a number of difficult issues in both selling and buying our house, but they did not phase Mark. Not only is Mark a great real estate agent, he is also well networked, and knows who to contact for any needs (plumbing, roofing, electrical, etc) that might arise. He also has a great eye for staging. We highly recommend Mark and will use him again down the road.

We recently used Mark for the second time. He helped us buy our starter home in 2011 and we had such a great experience we brought him back when we were looking for an upgrade. He helped walk us through the steps of preparing our home to be sold (including advice on staging, painting, etc) and was always available to answer questions. We ended up getting multiple viewings and an offer within just 48 hours of listing. On the purchase end, he took the time to really understand what we were looking for in a new home and took us around to many (many) houses until we found the perfect one for us. He did a great job coordinating our home sale with our home purchase- since we needed to close on both houses on the same day in order for the purchase to go through. It was a lot of moving parts, but all went smoothly! Mark does a great job at keeping in touch with his clients over the years- demonstrating that you are not just a client or a paycheck- you're a friend!

If you are looking for a realtor who is intuitive, hardworking, and personable, I recommend Mark Ruby. Throughout his time with us, he demonstrated a high level of competence of his craft. He used his keen knowledge of the local Reisterstown housing market to direct the best way our property would be marketed to get us top dollar. He consistently showed respect for our opinions and feelings, as sellers, while incorporating our opinions with mutual respect.
