I made multiple 12-hour trips to see a property misrepresented by Kris Burleson of Lawson Real Estate. She assured me it would pass appraisal despite clear structural issues, visible mold, sewage odors, electrical hazards, and misrepresented square footage (listed at 1,300 sq. ft.; confirmed at 1,120 sq. ft.). She refused to submit my offer on a legal Alabama real estate form, never provided a signed rejection, and ignored my request for updated comps after inspection revealed severe damage. Bathrooms were unusable due to sewage backup, and the foundation was condemned by a licensed inspector. No smoke detectors, no GFCIs — the list goes on. Kris was unprofessional, dismissive, and failed to fulfill her legal and ethical responsibilities. I am filing formal complaints with the Alabama Real Estate Commission, the National Association of REALTORS®, and initiating legal proceedings for damages and misrepresentation. License #: 000083298-0 | Broker: Lawson Real Estate Avoid this agent at all costs. She did not protect her client, and she absolutely did not protect me.
