If you are looking for help buying a home in Baltimore City, especially if you don't live in the area, John Maranto is your man. Along with having a lot of experience buying and selling in Baltimore, and knowing the neighborhoods because he is from Baltimore, John was quick to identify what was wrong with a house instead of pitching its good points. As a buyer, this is key to have a realtor that has your back and is not just trying to make a sale. I have bought and sold several homes. Coming into a city environment the first time, John taught me a few things I didn't realize about flat roofs, water damage and neighborhoods. John was also very helpful in conducting video tours with us over the internet so that we could get a good look at the things that are NOT shown in the pretty MSL listings. We could ask all the questions we wanted and didn't waste time and money flying to Baltimore every time something popped up that look interesting on paper. In fact, the house we did purchase was done totally remote, and we are very happy with our new home.

Mark is very accomodating and easy going. He showed me multiple properties sometimes more than once with patience and kindness. He is knowledgeable about local properties and gives helpful feedback. With his help I found the right property and was the first bid thanks to his help with the paperwork. I highly recommend him.
