Hillel Fried is a great professional, who over a period of a few weeks became a very close friend and guide to my wife and I, even as we searched for a Manhattan apartment for ourselves. For starters, this was no easy task because we were just returning from an overseas assignment, I was transiting to a retirement of sorts, and our financial affairs were, to put it mildly, in some disarray! We came upon HiIlel as we looked in on a co-op, having just been outbid on another where we were left feeling the realtor had let us down (showing not enough interest or energy on our behalf, and keeping us under-informed)y.
