FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

You have questions. Luckily, we have answers.

1. What is Effective Agents®?

Effective Agents® is a sophisticated real estate agent matching service that connects home buyers and sellers with top ranked, local agents who compete for their business. Starting in 2009, we were the first agent referral platform to rank our agents based on their sales performance. Our no-obligation service is fast, free, and in 2017 our agents were able to beat the National Average Sale Price of Existing Homes by a whopping 5.7%! We partner with top selling agents from reputable brokerages including Coldwell Banker, Sotheby’s International, Berkshire Hathaway HS, Weichert, Keller Williams, Re/Max, and many more….thousands more, actually.

2. How does Effective Agents® work for buyers?

Our matching algorithm goes to work identifying agents that are incredible negotiators. Last year our buyer’s agents saved our users an average of $12,409 when compared to their sales performance had they been representing the seller! To get started, we ask you a few brief questions about you, your budget, where you’d love to live, financing plans and where you are at in the buying process. It’s that quick and easy.

3. Why should I use Effective Agents® instead of hiring an agent on my own (i.e. friend referral)?

We believe that using data to inform the agent selection process is the way to go. When our algorithm matches you with three top performing Realtors® we believe that the combination of making an data-driven choice and giving agents a bit of healthy competition yields the best end-result for the consumer. EffectiveAgents.com offers you a better alternative to the friend/family referral or directory-based real estate sites because our unbiased data centric methodology is more effective and the results speak for themselves. We save you time and hassle in researching agents by showcasing their experience, verified transactions and online reviews all in the same place.

4. What is the difference between a Realtor® and a Real Estate Agent?

The term REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark that is reserved exclusively for members of the National Association of Realtors®. The collective marks — REALTORS® and REALTOR® — were registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Sept. 13, 1949, and Jan. 10, 1950, respectively. A “real estate agent” is any person that maintains an active real estate license, licensing is generally overseen on the state level by various commissions or state sanctioned licensing boards. Not all real estate agents are Realtors®, however, every real estate agent that we work with has indicated that they are active member of the National Association of Realtors®.
