I can't say enough about how great working with William Higgins was, when we were looking for an apartment in Brooklyn for my daughter and spouse. The process of looking for a home to buy is incredibly stressful, especially in New York. His knowledge, patience, kindness and advice were impressive and he made the entire process so much more comfortable. You'd be in the right hands if you chose Mr. Higgins to help you find/buy a home.

This past summer, my husband and I decided to check out local open houses on a whim. We met Bill Higgins in one unit we hadn't even intended to see, and right off the bat found him to be knowledgable, generous with his time, and extremely informative. As first-time prospective home-buyers, we especially valued his local expertise, abundant patience, and around-the-clock accessibility. Bill went beyond what we expected of a broker and offered personal, thoughtful consideration for our specific needs in what ultimately was a very time-sensitive transaction. We whole-heartedly recommend him for both seasoned or newbie home-buyers!

After working with another agent for about two months, I was frustrated and disappointed. She always does things last minutes and was not able to capture my needs, interests, and how much I can afford, even after viewing quite a few properties and going over my personal and financial details with her. During the final home searching phase, I even asked her to inquire about this apartment I had just purchased, to see whether it is a fit for me, and she failed me. I then did a lot of research on my own about this property, because I really like the location and state of the property. I found the information she gave me were not accurate and I had decided to reach out to the listing agent, Bill directly. I contacted Bill on streeteasy, he responded almost immediately, and confirmed with me the open house viewing. I saw Bill at the open house, he was very friendly and energetic, and was happy to answer any questions I and other fellow homebuyers had. It was such a great contrast to my agent and considering how she failed to provide me accurate information, I decided to have Bill to also represent me on this transaction (meaning he was a dual agent representing both the seller and buyer). Although Bill was a dual agent on my transaction, I strongly feel that my rights and interests were protected throughout the whole process, from submitting my offer, to communicating with the seller who lives in Vermont, and to final closing. Bill has always been responsive to phone calls and emails, answering questions big and small, from me, the lender, and my attorney, and he is always energetic when he speaks to you. He was reaching out to me almost everyday making sure everything is on track. Even though I am finally closed with my original lender, at one point, the lender almost denied my application after my application was with them for five weeks, it got me so frustrated and worried. Bill jumped in and assisted me in all possible ways in getting my application started with another reputable lender, and everything well very well with them. But I ended up going with my lender because they were able to give me clear to close a few days before and a slightly better rate. Also, thank Bill and my loan officer in getting all necessary documents together such that the underwriter could finally approve my loan application. I was touched on the closing day, when Bill and the seller finally met after three years working together. I then found out Bill was the one who helped transforming the building. You don’t find too many real estate agents that are willing to take three years of their time on a building. And it wasn’t only advantageous to the seller to be able to sell at a better price, it also means the buyer like me will be able to live comfortably in the building and not have to worry about keep spending money and fixing different parts of the building every now and then. With my personal experience working with Bill on this homebuying process, I will recommend Bill to anyone who are seeking a knowledgeable, professional, humble, responsive, friendly, caring, and energetic real estate agent, and I am sure you will not disappoint.

My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the professional services we received from Bill Higgins. From his initial phone call until the date of the closing, Bill was there for us every step of the way. He proved himself patient and knowledgeable, answering every question we had and returning all our phone calls. Bill helped us stage the house, supplied an excellent photographer, and was supportive throughout the entire process. He made numerous trips from his home to meet with us in our own house, offering suggestions, advice, and educating us in the process! We were very impressed with his skills as he successfully negotiated the sale of our house. He even came to the house on moving day to help us lift and carry boxes! We were already on our way out of the state to our new residence but Bill came by before the closing to do a final walk-through to make sure everything was in order. We highly recommend Bill to anyone seeking a quality agent to facilitate the sale of their residence. He is very personable, always professional, and a pleasure to deal with.

This past summer, we hired Bill Higgins to sell our house in the Brooklyn area. We are located out of state and he did an incredible job getting our home prepared for sale and throughout the close. He made numerous trips to our house to meet with multiple service providers. He kept us completely in the loop from the open houses, to the negotiations, to closing day. Since the home belonged to my parents we truly appreciated his calming personality when educating them on the process, presenting the issues and being available for any and all questions. He is extremely knowledgeable of the Brooklyn & NYC marketplace and we could not have asked for a better real estate broker. If it was possible we would rate him much higher than 5 stars. Thank you Bill for all your hard work and our successful sale!
