Alex was very helpful. Me and my wife just moved to the US from Europe so we were not familiar with the renting process here, so Alex explained everything to us (he was very honest) and helped us a lot in general. Without him the process would have been much more difficult. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to rent in New York, and more specifically in the Upper West Side.

A good friend of mine recommended Alex to us early in the process. As under-30 first-time home buyers it was really important to us that we found someone whose guidance we could trust in the notoriously complicated NYC real estate market. Happily we found that in Alex. Alex has a magnetic personality; he seems to have good relationships with all the brokers we spoke to while viewing apartments and would engage them in conversation while we viewed the space in relative peace. After leaving each place we had a chance to express how we felt and Alex would calibrate us - what he thought was or wasn't good value, what would be a good fit, etc. It was nice to get a professional's opinion so that when we ultimately decided on making an offer we felt confident that the investment was a good one. Once we fell in love with the place Alex kept us in check; he talked us through the right timing for placing an offer that would put us in a good negotiating position. I think I texted him every other day but he was very patient with us. One day we got a call that he had gotten the seller down to a number we couldn't believe. I can't emphasize how thrilled we were with the ultimate purchase price. Alex kept in touch with us throughout the next steps; helped us communicate with the seller's agent for the board package and prepared us for the coop interview. All went well and we felt ready for it. Finally, Alex was wonderful during the walkthrough. I had printed a guide online for how to do the final walkthrough but I should have known, there was no need. When we arrived Alex had a game plan that took us through every room and a phone charger to test all of the outlets. By the end of the walkthrough I felt like I had a good grip on the apartment and the work that needed to be done and felt good going into closing. Overall, Alex will always make you feel cared for and comfortable with an unfamiliar process. He's incredibly kind and personable, and clearly passionate about real estate. I hope we run into him around the city as we settle into our new home.
